DONE!
I passed with an 89%, not an A, but pretty close. I am actually content with my 89% because I need to maintain an 89% in the rest of my classes in order to have total rein over my RN clinical/preceptorship. It's kind of confusing, so let me explain.
Next summer I have to do an 120-hr clinical experience during my six week summer class (our very last nursing class). If I can get at least an 89% in my remaining 2 classes then I can choose where and with who I complete my final clinical with. If I get b/w 84% and 89% then I can choose my clinical experience for 40 of the 120 hours. Anything below 84% and I am not able to choose my clinical location and I will be monitored by an Iowa Central instructor :(
With that being said, I am on on the right track to getting to choose the site for the entire 120 hr experience. As of now, I think I would like to follow an RN in surgery or the ER. My preference would be at Wright Medical Center, which is where I currently work.
I am really looking forward to the rest of the summer. I plan on taking lots of trip to the pool, park, and library with Harper!

Happy Happy Happy {belated}
So here is a cute little video of Harper wish my mom, my brother Brett, and our niece Abby a Happy Birthday. Actually it's our nephew's birthday today, and Abby's is next week. Oh well - June is a very busy month for our family!
PS - In case you're wondering what Harper is eating, it's a Blue Bunny Personals ice cream cup. It has become our tradition to grab a cup for each of us whenever we're at the store. We come home and sit at Harper's little table and eat it. So far, this is one my favorite memories of the summer!

Happy Father's Day
2008
My dad rocks! He is probably the funniest person I know. He can always make me laugh. And I know he secretly enjoys the fact that I am usually the only one who finds him funny at times. My dad has a heart of gold and is a big softy! Well, towards me anyways. Maybe that has something to do with the fact that I'm his only daughter. I love the fact that I'm his only daughter because it's what makes our relationship special. My dad (and mom) did a great job at raising me (although challenging at times) and teaching me my morals and values. Thanks for everything you've done for me over the past 27 years Dad! Words cannot describe how thankful I am for YOU!

21 Months
Diaper Size: 4!!! (after an entire year in size 3!)
Clothing Size: 18m/24m bottoms, 24m/2T tops
Shoe Size: 5
Teeth: all except 2 year molars - NOT looking forward to those!
Sleep: Harper wakes up b/w 7:30 and 8:30. Nap time is usually right after lunch and she'll sleep for about 2 hours. Bedtime is right around 8:00 in most nights (sometimes she thinks she can stay up until 10!)
Eating: Harper is back to eating like a champ again. Her current love is yogurt straight from the container. She does well with a spoon now so we let her feed herself. Another favorite is ice - plain ice. She absolutely loves sucking/chomping on ice. I guess she's staying hydrated! Harper now eats her meals at the table with us using her booster seat! Goodbye high chair!
Speech: Harper is really into imitating right now - so she'll try saying almost anything. But a few new words that she says consistently and uses them in the correct context are: bike, pool (poo), sit (seat), yes (hes), money, walk (alk), bed, meat, turkey, boots, map, happy, cop car, truck, Kaitlyn (la la), marker, move!, broccoli, cheese, bark and I'm sure many more. Harper is also using a lot of 2-word combinations like, 'more ice' or 'no bark.' She also said her first sentence when I asked her if she pooped, her was her response: "Harper no poop." Nice, huh?!
Favorite Toy: McDonald's cash register or babies
Favorite Activity: playing outside or going to the poooooooooo!
New Things:
- went on her first golf outing and LOVED it - she went again last week too!
- going on bike rides in the pull behind cart - also loves this
- got her hair trimmed again
- loves imitating EVERYTHING we do
- takes bubble baths
- likes to fall asleep in the recliner for her afternoon nap (her father started this!)
Sorry for the delay on the monthly post. Our internet signal is week - someone is coming to fix it on Monday. With that being said, I have a really cute video that I am trying to post for all of the birthday this weekend! Check back tomorrow or Monday - I promise we didn't forget about you.

EIGHT more days until I'm done with my class!!!! I can't wait! It seems like our summer is starting to pick up pace - we have lots going on in the next month.
Mediacom is coming to look at our cable/Internet on the 17th - so I'll be back in business then, if not before!
Have a fantastic week!

Future Career???
Harper just may have found her calling in life :P
We got the McDonald's cash register along with a box of toy food at a consignment shop. Harper quickly fell in love with the cash register. I think she does a better job than half the people that I've seen working at McDonald's!

Summer Days
We also got the tire fixed on the bike cart thingy for Harper to ride in. You know the thing that you pull behind on your bike? Yeah - that thing. She loves that as well. Adam took her on two bike rides yesterday. She even fell asleep during one of the rides. I came home from class today and Harper and Adam were nowhere to be found. So I went out to the garage and sure enough, the bike was gone! Adam is such a good daddy!
We also grilled out yesterday. I would like to announce that I did the grilling while Adam mowed the lawn. Harper likes it when Adam mows. She has a ride on/push toy that she pushes in the lawn while Adam is mowing. She imitates almost everything we do now days. We are going to buy her a bubble mower the next time we are at Wal-mart. Unless I find one at a garage sale before then. (I'm going to a few tomorrow and Saturday that I think might be promising - 2T/3T girl clothes, winter snowsuits, books, toys, Little Tikes kitchen set and toy box - count me in!)
So as you see, we had a fabulous day yesterday - it was the perfect way to start the month of June! Speaking of June - Happy Belated Birthday to Adam's mom- June! We love you - hope you enjoyed your special delivery at work!
Have a great weekend - supposed to feel like summer! I think we may make our first trip to the swimming pool!
