Preschool Update

Harper has been in 3-year-old preschool now for 4 weeks.

This week was the first week that she didn't cry when we dropped her off. 

We hope that she has finally turned the corner and is getting used to her new routine and new faces.

For being as bashful as she is, Harper's teacher told us that she actually talked to them this week!  She told them all about her birthday and my dentist appointment.  Adam and I rejoiced when we heard this news.  Our daycare also told us that Harper has been talking more there as well.  

Knowing that Harper is slowly starting to break out of her shell solidifies why enrolled her in preschool.  We didn't enroll her because she needs to learn her numbers or ABC's, we enrolled her for SOCIALIZATION. 

We hope Harper continues to transform into a social butterfly :)

What does Harper think of preschool?????

Well, she's hot and cold on the subject.  When she gets home from preschool she tells us how much fun she had.  However the hours preceding preschool are full of meltdowns.  She usually cries and says "I don't want to go to school" or "Lets go later."  And then some days she's begging to go and can't get out the door fast enough.  Overall we know that she is enjoying herself, she just gets a little separation anxiety thinking about leaving us for a few hours.

Harper had school pictures on Tuesday - and didn't smile.  Those should be interesting - I'll be sure to show you :)

Today was an exciting day at school because the class was taking a field trip to the library (one of her favorite places) and it was show and tell.  I'll give you one guess as to what she brought...DUCKIE!
