Here are a few pictures from Harper's 3rd Birthday:
Harper's birthday was on a Tuesday this year so we didn't do much on her actual birthday. I made her some special
birthday pancakes that I found on Pinterest. (This will become a birthday tradition - they were yummy!) Then she opened up presents from Adam and I. That afternoon Harper went to preschool and took birthday treats - mini chocolate cupcakes with pink and blue frosting!

We had Harper's birthday party the Saturday following her birthday. The theme this year was Caillou. Harper has been border-line obsessed with Caillou for the past 6 months or so. Google Caillou if you have no clue what I'm talking about :) We had a hot dog buffet/bar with all the fixins' - it was affordable, easy, and delicious. I got the idea from Pinterest (imagine that!) when I saw a 'pin' for
cooking hot dogs in a crockpot. Our fixins' included chili, cheese sauce, bacon, onions, jalapenos, bacon, pickles, relish, ketchup, mustard, and hot sauce. I think everyone enjoyed making their own 'gourmet' hot dog.

Thank you to everyone who made the trip down to our house to help us celebrate Harper's 3rd birthday! It was a great afternoon. Although we had a fun and memorable day, Adam and I were planning to announce our pregnancy at the party. The plan was to have Harper open up a present that contained a t-shirt that said "Big Sister" on it. So it was a bitter-sweet day. O'well - we enjoyed celebrating the life of Harper and pray that she will be a big sister at her next birthday party!!!
