Today Harper is 2 3/4 years-old...we're almost to three!!! Here is a little update on our little monster.
Weight: 32.4 lbs
Clothing Size: 3T bottoms, 3T/4T tops
Shoes Size: 7-8
Eating: Harper still despises corn. She has found a new favorite snack - fruit snacks!!! She is still a fruit lover, especially grapes and strawberries. I introduced her to my favorite breakfast cereal last week, peanut butter captain crunch, and she loves it just as much as I do! Overall, she is still a great eater, not picky at all.
Sleep: Because of the sun setting later during the summer, it seems as if Harper's bedtime has gotten a little later too, usually b/w 8:30 and 9:30. She never takes naps in her bed unless she is super naughty and she gets sent to her room :) Harper will usually crash on the couch or recliner while watching Scooby-Doo (her new favorite show) She also wakes us up at least once in the night so she can go potty
Speech: Still talking like crazy, unless you are a stranger, then she won't say a peep.
Favorite Toy: Her babies! Baby Sandy has a new name - Avery! She also carries around two other dolls named Carson and Lia :)
Favorite Activity: playing babies, play-dough, ball, or coloring with chalk
New Things:
*calls herself Lizzy (character on Bernstein Bears)
*can put her own shoes on
*recognizes her name when written on paper
*favorite TV show is Scooby-Doo
*knows how to make an 'H'
*throws temper tantrums :(
*is a TOTAL daddy's girl
Well people, the terrible two's finally struck our household about a month ago. Some days are TERRIBLE, I just want to lock myself (or Harper) in a room. We are trying to stay as consistent as possible with our discipline and expectations from Harper. We understand that this is a normal part of her development, but some days it is very hard to be patient with her. We have to remind ourselves that this is only a stage and soon it will be no longer!
